Down like a Sack of Spuds

Greetings all.

Normally my little short coffee cycle wouldn't warrant a blog post, I do it so often and it is usually pretty much the same so unless there is a noteworthy event it just gets the morning campers hello on Farcebook.

So what made this one different?

As I cycled out from Baan Monsters I often do a little circle at the end of the cul-de-sac only this time I failed to account for the slippy green area at the lane edge;


I tried to rescue the event as the lady bikes front wheel shot off at an angle but to no avail and as the title suggests, down I went...

The result on me, bruises and grazing, nothing more that I can see partly thanks to the use of a cycle helmet, something I urge cyclists to adopt.

Unfortunately my Garmin watch that provides me with so much data did not fair so well.


It is hard to photo without specialist equipment but there is an hairline crack top to bottom and a star chip crack as well. I am not concerned about the scruffy look, everything seems to work but the big question is if the watch is still waterproof?

Maybe a new screen who knows.

My phone was in my pocket how did that take to the crash to the deck?
